• How We Work

    Here at The Marketing Shop.com, we build your website according to our production schedule. Your site is scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. When we say that your site will take 30-90 days to build, this is not always due to work time. Much of the time is spent gathering information, preparing content and processing. Some time is when your in the queue for being built. After that we have designing to do as well as programming. We appreciate your patience during this process and assure you that your project is in good hands. If you have questions, please contact Support.

    Please note: Unlike many Webmasters, we do not sit back and wait for you to tell us what to do. Our systems and processes are organized in a way that gets us what we need quickly so we can produce your website efficiently. We know what questions to ask to produce a website that gets results. We know what we’re doing. If you don’t send us what we need in a timely manner, we don’t wait. Our goal is to complete your site efficiently and with excellence. After your site is launched, we look forward to handling your monthly web marketing and maintenance for many years to come.

    What to Expect…

    We take pride in every facet of building your website and handling your monthly web marketing. Our goal is to make the process smooth and easy for you. We try to take care of the “grunt work” so you can focus on what you do best. We’re really good at doing things before being told, or without you even having to say a word. Customer service and quality craftmanship are just a few of the hallmarks of our services.

    Getting Started…

    The first thing you need to get started with The Marketing Shop.com, is to determine which website package you need: Basic, Premium or Grande. Having the right website tools is imperative to everything that we do. We will re-vamp another Webmaster’s website with a minimum $3,500 retainer. Other than that, we do not handle Monthly Website Marketing Services unless an investment in a website is made. We do not handle the web marketing on sites that are not ours, or that we have not re-vamped.

    In order to constrain costs and ensure a smooth process flow for our clients, we do not create proposals for real estate websites. All of our services are defined in detail on this website, and we provide a detailed Agreement outlining the work to be performed. We are presently working on Power Point presentations that will help you sell and explain our Complete Web Marketing System&trade to your manager or others in your organization.

    After you select which real estate website package suits your needs and budget, we ask that you fill out an Agreement which details everything you will receive. We also request partial payment to be made in the amount of 1/2 of the total cost of the project. We accept Visa, MC, Amex and Discover. Checks are also an acceptable form of payment. Once the Agreement is signed, and
    we are paid, your website build project is underway.

    Welcome Aboard!

    Once we receive your signed Agreement and partial payment, our office administrators begin to process your site. During this time you will receive emails from our Communication Center. The emails you get from us initially will welcome you and acclimate you to our processes, as well as provide specific information about your account. Please keep the login credentials you receive in a safe place for retrieval later. The Communication Emails come from an automatic system, not your sales representative. Please check your spam inbox in case our emails are accidentally routed incorrectly.

    General Communications

    It is best to reach us via email whenever possible. We ask that you send all support and website emails to the email below. This will assure prompt and fast service. Please do not send support and website requests directly to Jenna, as she is not the one who processes such matters. Please note that Jenna–and the webmaster staff at The Marketing Shop.com–receives a carbon copy of all emails sent to the email below.

    Emergency Communications

    Emergency matters such as website viewing issues or email outages must be handled via phone. If you have an emergency, please contact us at 972-335-9922 in DFW or 866-697-7638 Toll Free US.

    Your Email

    The Marketing Shop.com no longer handles pop emails for our clients. However, you will have the option of up to 20 email aliases that can be forwarded to the email address of your choice. For example, if you have the email alias of betty@homesonthelake.com, we can forward it to betty@gmail.com. Large companies with many employees are likely to have an Exchange Server
    that handles in-house email.

    Phone Mail Support

    Getting your emails to come through your phone is beyond the scope of our expertise. We do not support phone email retrieval. If you wish to receive emails on your phone, please contact your phone provider.

    What We Need From You

    Things we need from you include the following:

    • Accurate Account Profile information
    • Marketing Questionnaire completion
    • Graphics: Photos, Logos & Images
    • Content: Specific Text you want to use
    • Signed MLS Paperwork

    Web Hosting

    Once your site is built, Web Hosting will be handled by The Marketing Shop.com. We do not build websites that we do not host. If you have a Custom IDX, you will be responsible for the monthly maintenance, plus hosting, plus any pass through fees assessed by your real estate board.

    If you wish to move your website in the future to another Webmaster and Hosting Company, you are free to do so at any time. We provide full access to you of your FTP login. Monthly Service Fees disconnection require a 30-day notice prior to cancellation. Please review our Cancellation Policy for more information. The important thing to remember is that YOU OWN THE WEBSITE.

    Additional Features

    Please note that we are only able to provide those Features which are listed on the Agreement that is originally signed by you and our representative. No Additional Features will be added to your site other than the ones which are agreed. Additional Features are available for added fees.

    Training

    Your website comes with a one hour Personal Training Session which is conducted by one of our Webmasters over the telephone. There are lots of things you can learn and do using our many systems and options for Lead Generation, Search Engine Optimization and Social Networking. We urge you to take advantage of our Free Seminars held throughout DFW if you’re in the area, as well as viewing our How To Videos on YouTube and in the Client Control Panel.

    You may also purchase more one-to-one Web Marketing Training time for the use of your Complete Web Marketing System&trade. Topics covered include the following:
